A week of cooking, eating, relaxing, and laughing in Tuscany,
Le Marche, the Loire Valley, or Madrid. Tours to world famous wineries, historical gems, thriving markets, hilltop towns and visits through the backdoor to some of my favorite cooks in the world.
We taste sparkling whites, floating down the Loire past chateaus and weeping willows that hug the shore. We visit kitchen gardens, hundreds of years old. We make cheese from sheep’s milk still warm from the udder. Or walk the cobblestones of Madrid and taste your way through tapas bars. Visit the Prado, the Royal Palace Parque del Retiro and press poached almonds, ground to a paste with garlic, bread and sherry vinegar, through a cheesecloth, to make white gazpacho garnished with fresh grapes and almond slivers. We eat well. We cook like royalty who prefer to eat in the back kitchen.
One week is 2100 euro per person, including tours, lodging (double occupancy), 4 cooking classes, breakfast, and meals prepared by the class. Transportation provided during the week. Transportation from airports and train stations is not provided, but I can be of assistance. Museum entry fees, lunch, and minimal costs for tastings are additional, allowing for flexibility.
