Documenting dinner

Ferdinand was made student of the month. He was convinced that they had taken it away from him because of a last minute slip on the final day of December, but it looks like the powers that be know that when you are five, just like when you are fifty, 1 day of not-so great, out of 31 YES!’s is a winning combination. I am proud of Ferdinand, and I am proud of the powers that be.
Faye-Faye is making videos. It takes me about 56 times longer to edit than what I feel must be the average amount of time to edit videos, so I’m going to be making dinners that take no longer than 10 minutes.
Spagetti al cacio e pepe (Spaghetti with pecorino romano and black pepper and that’s it; use a little bit of the pasta water to moisten along with a bit of olive oil.)
Flank steak (season with kosher salt as soon as it comes off the pan with a nice sear, and give it a hit of your best olive oil)
Wilted cherry tomato salad with garlic
Salad greens
A wedge of cheese
A glass of wine
