No dinner

If anybody in my family wants to eat tonight, they are on their own. I can’t eat. I am at my mother’s house, and I have had every kind of ice cream that she has in the freezer, birthday cake that my sister made, cake that I made, a sausage sandwich, a bagel with cream cheese, some old candy corn, some m&m’s, and an apple.

The sausage sandwich was fantastic, and would be much better on its own without the candy corn side. Instead make some mashed potatoes, and collards made with a little fat back, that’s been cooked down with diced onion and chopped cabbage. For dessert make apple crisp. Thinly slice the apples (about 6 or 7 of them). Put them in a baking dish and toss them with about a third of a cup of sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon. For the topping mix one cup of flour with a quarter cup of cold butter, diced, half a cup of brown sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon.
Bake at 350 degrees. If you like your topping rich, double the butter. Serve it with whipped cream that just barely holds a peak.
